In an earlier blog here, which we published in June, we announced our initial NFT support on the Ballet wallets and gave a short primer on what NFTs are. After a few months of community engagement, we now support 4 different NFTs:

1. CryptoKitties
2. Cryptopunks
3. Bored Ape Yacht Club
4. Bored Ape Kennel Club

And just last month, we launched support for WalletConnect, which is an open source protocol allowing mobile and/or desktop wallets to seamlessly connect to NFT & DeFi applications in a secure and easy manner. More can be read on this launch announcement here.

This piece is to demonstrate and explain how to use WalletConnect with NFTs in an interoperable and seamless manner.

Let’s go!

Scenario 1: Send NFT from MetaMask to Ballet wallet.

Scenario 2: Sell NFT in Ballet Crypto App on OpenSea.

Scenario 3: Send NFT from Ballet wallet to another wallet (such as MetaMask or another Ballet wallet).

Scenario 4: What if the NFT is not currently supported on the Ballet Crypto App but has already been sent to my Ballet wallet’s ETH address?

The good news is that you can still access it! Follow the below scenario.

Closing

It’s always good practice to make sure you are using your WalletConnect with a trustworthy and reputable NFT marketplace. Also, it is prudent to disconnect your wallet with the NFT marketplace platform whenever you are done using it.
